Wow, how time flies... September is here and with the peak tourist season now just a fond memory, Lombok is returning to its more idyllic pace. September is a great time to visit Lombok - the weather is near perfect and with most tourists now heading home, the beaches and poolside are quieter and more relaxing. As well the Lombok takes on an even calmer, slower pace as its mainly Muslim population observes the fasting month, Ramadhan, culminating in Idul Fitri on Sep 10 - 11, 2010.
What does that mean for you? Rates are returning to 'normal' (high season surcharges levied during July and August have been dropped) and getting a flight to Lombok is easier - although a little advance planning still needs to be done to ensure a hassle free holiday. Also looking ahead, with all of Indonesia and the rest of Asia on holiday Sep 10 - 11, 2010 hotels in Lombok are filling quickly, so do book early for that time period. |
